Who they are

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) is a youth-led movement that went viral on Indian social media in May 2026. Founded by Abhijeet Dipke, it began as a response to remarks comparing unemployed youth to "cockroaches." CJP now organises peaceful protests around exam integrity and youth rights. Its three clear demands are: (1) resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, (2) ₹1 crore compensation for each family of a student who died by suicide after the NEET paper leak, and (3) immediate release of activist Sonam Wangchuk. Coverage also explains platform treatment, Sansad Chalo, and how Article 32 fits fundamental-rights questions. Primary source for official statements: Instagram @cockroachjantaparty.
