Tata Aeris Variants and Price List 2026: Which Trim Should You Buy?
The Tata Aeris launched on 25 September 2026 with five trims and a price card from ₹5.29 lakh to ₹9.74 lakh, introductory ex-showroom. The engine family does not change as you spend more. You are paying for an AMT, for CNG, and for features.

How the range is built#
The ladder is Smart, Pure, Pure+, Creative, and Accomplished.
Smart is manual only. Pure and above can be petrol manual, petrol AMT, CNG manual, or CNG AMT. The published price cards also list a Smart CNG manual at ₹6.29 lakh. One CNBC-TV18 line said the base car misses CNG. This guide follows the price tables and treats Smart CNG manual as available. Ask the dealer to show it on the order screen.

The steps are even, which makes the choice easier:
- CNG versus the same petrol car: about ₹1.00 lakh
- AMT versus the same manual: about ₹0.55 lakh
- Pure versus Smart petrol manual: ₹0.85 lakh
- Each later trim step: ₹0.60 lakh to ₹0.75 lakh
What is standard, and what is not#
Launch reports do not publish a full feature-by-feature split. These points are safe:
- Six airbags, ESP, ABS with EBD, hill-hold, and ISOFIX are described as standard
- Petrol output is 86 PS and 113 Nm; CNG is about 75.5 PS and 96.5 Nm
- AMT cars add a rotary selector and paddle shifters
- Smart, Pure, and all CNG variants are reported on 14-inch wheels
- Higher petrol trims get 15-inch dual-tone alloys
The 10.25-inch screen, wireless charging, ventilated seats, 65W USB-C ports, 360-degree camera, and dashcam are why Creative and Accomplished exist. Do not assume Smart includes them. In Tata’s recent small cars, cameras and ventilated seats arrive in the upper half of the range. The lighter cabin theme is a design change on the car, not a flagship exclusive.
Petrol: which trim#
Smart petrol, ₹5.29 lakh. This is the headline. It also undercuts the Dzire’s opening price by about ₹1 lakh. Buy it if one driver is happy with a manual and the goal is six airbags plus a 419-litre boot. Skip it if you already know you want a screen or an automatic.
Pure petrol, ₹6.14 lakh manual or ₹6.69 lakh AMT. This is the first real choice. For a shared city car, the Pure AMT at ₹6.69 lakh is the most sensible automatic on the card. Check what Pure actually adds over Smart. If the screen and rear vents only appear on Pure+, the Pure manual is a weak stop.
Pure+ petrol, ₹6.74 lakh manual or ₹7.29 lakh AMT. The ₹60,000 step is the one to interrogate. If this is where the 10.25-inch screen and rear AC vents land, Pure+ manual is the petrol car to shortlist. If those items wait for Creative, buy Pure+ only for the specific lines on the comparison sheet.
Creative petrol, ₹7.49 lakh manual or ₹8.04 lakh AMT. This is no longer a bargain sedan. On-road in a metro it can sit near ₹8.5–9 lakh. Write down ventilated seats, the 360 camera, and wireless charging, then tick them on the Creative sheet. The AMT at ₹8.04 lakh is for someone who will not live with a clutch. It will not feel like a Honda CVT.
Accomplished petrol, ₹8.19 lakh manual or ₹8.74 lakh AMT. Take it when the sheet shows a clear set of extras over Creative, such as the camera package and ventilated seats, if those were not already below. A ₹70,000 step is easy to justify for those items in an Indian summer, and hard to justify for a speaker count or a different alloy. At ₹8.74 lakh you are in Dzire and Amaze money. Drive them the same day.
CNG: which trim#
Factory CNG costs about ₹1 lakh over the same petrol car. It pays back when the kilometres are high. Short weekly errands favour petrol. A daily 40–60 km commute is where gas starts to make a case, depending on local prices. The CNG engine is softer, at about 75.5 PS, which you will feel with a full cabin on a climb.
Smart CNG manual, ₹6.29 lakh. The running-cost special, if the dealer can order it. You keep six airbags and factory gas, and you give up the AMT and most of the toys.
Pure CNG AMT, ₹7.69 lakh, is the first two-pedal gas car and the combination many city families want. Pure+ CNG manual, ₹7.74 lakh, is the one to test if you want more equipment without touching ₹9 lakh. Pure CNG manual is ₹7.14 lakh. Pure+ CNG AMT is ₹8.29 lakh.
Creative and Accomplished CNG run from ₹8.49 lakh to ₹9.74 lakh. Buy the flagship only if you have already decided on gas, an automatic, and the highest kit. Creative CNG AMT saves ₹70,000. Pure CNG AMT saves about ₹2 lakh versus that flagship.
Check the boot. Autocar Professional says twin cylinders keep 419 litres. Autocar India still expects about 227 litres. Those two numbers change whether a CNG Aeris is a tourer or a commuter. CNG cars are also reported on 14-inch wheels even at the top. If 15-inch alloys are why you wanted Accomplished, order petrol.
AMT or manual#
Choose the AMT if the car is shared and the commute is jammed. Choose the manual for highway runs and the lower price. The ₹55,000 AMT is a five-speed automated manual. Paddle shifters help you hold a gear on a flyover. They do not remove the pause between ratios. Test it in a jammed junction and on a parking ramp. There is no diesel, turbo petrol, or CVT.

For most private buyers the decision is Pure petrol AMT versus Pure+ petrol manual versus Pure CNG AMT.
On-road quotes#
Registration, insurance, and handling move a ₹6.69 lakh car well above ₹7.5 lakh in many cities, and a ₹9.74 lakh car toward ₹11 lakh. Get two quotes: the trim you like, and the one below it.
Ask the dealer to write down the introductory price versus the later price, the wait for your colour and gearbox, any extra for the black roof, and the CNG boot in litres. Extended warranty should be an optional line. Keep the quote as a PDF. A heavy scan can be shrunk with the compress PDF tool.
Deliveries are slated from 11 October 2026. A token helps if your car is in the first batch. It helps less if the salesperson cannot name the month.

Bottom line#
The card is simple: about ₹55,000 for the AMT, about ₹1 lakh for CNG, and ₹60,000–₹85,000 per trim step. Smart petrol is the value story. The top CNG automatic is a different budget, even though the engine is the same.
Pick the fuel and the gearbox first. Then buy the lowest trim that has the two or three features you will use every week. That is usually Pure or Pure+, not Accomplished.
