Skoda Price Hike October 2026: Up to ₹20,000 From 1 October

Skoda Auto India increased ex-showroom prices across its range from 1 October 2026. The hike is up to 1.2%, capped at ₹20,000 per vehicle. Skoda cited rising input and operational costs.

The timing matters: the revision hit five days before the Slavia facelift launch on 6 October, when Skoda will announce new Slavia prices on top of this portfolio-wide move.

Which models are affected?#

The increase applies to Skoda’s full India line-up, including:

  • Kylaq
  • Slavia (pre-facelift stock until launch week)
  • Kushaq
  • Kodiaq
  • Octavia RS, Kodiaq RS, and newer trims such as Kylaq Sportline, Classic+, Prestige+

Skoda has not published variant-wise revised prices in every public release — ask your dealer for the exact number on the VIN you want.

Maximum possible impact by model#

Using the announced 1.2% cap and ₹20,000 ceiling (as tabulated by Mint and Autocar India from third-party price data):

ModelPre-hike ex-showroom band (approx.)Max hike (theoretical)
Kylaq₹7.59–12.99 lakhUp to ₹15,588
Slavia₹10.00–18.19 lakhUp to ₹20,000
Kushaq₹10.69–18.99 lakhUp to ₹20,000
Kodiaq₹36.99–66.99 lakhUp to ₹20,000

On expensive variants, 1.2% could exceed ₹20,000 mathematically — Skoda’s cap limits the bill. Entry Kylaq trims may see a smaller absolute increase than a top Kushaq.

Bookings made before 1 October#

NDTV and Cartoq note that orders placed before 1 October should bill at older ex-showroom rates — but only if the dealer honours that policy. Get written confirmation on:

  • Quoted ex-showroom on your booking form
  • Whether delivery after 1 October still uses the old price
  • Any facelift switch affecting your allocation

Save the dealer’s email as PDF; trim pages with edit PDF if they attach duplicate terms.

Second hike in 2026#

Skoda already revised prices in January 2026:

  • Slavia: up to ₹34,000
  • Kylaq: up to ₹19,000
  • Kushaq: about ₹5,000–7,000

October’s move is smaller in headline terms but lands when festive buying peaks.

Production of the facelift Slavia is running at Chakan; ₹15,000 pre-bookings are open. On 6 October, Skoda reveals facelift pricing — that number will not be the same as today’s pre-facelift Slavia plus ₹20,000. Expect a fresh price list for six trims and new features (Slavia facelift guide).

If you delayed buying a Kushaq or Kylaq, compare:

  • Pre-1 Oct booking on outgoing stock (if any remains)
  • Post-hike on-road quote
  • Waiting for festive offers on competitors (Hyundai, VW, Honda)

What buyers should do now#

  1. Re-quote every Skoda you shortlisted — on-road changed even if ex-showroom moved modestly.
  2. Cross-shop VW Virtus/Taigun (related hardware, different discounting).
  3. For fleet or company cars, update lease spreadsheets with new ex-showroom.
  4. Export finance PDFs and merge them for approval workflows.

FAQ#

How much did Skoda prices increase in October 2026?#

Up to 1.2%, maximum ₹20,000 per car ex-showroom.

When did the hike start?#

1 October 2026.

Does it include the new Slavia facelift?#

Facelift prices are announced 6 October separately. This hike applies to the existing range first.

Is ₹20,000 the same on every variant?#

No — actual increase varies by model and variant within the cap.

Bottom line#

Skoda’s October 2026 price hike is modest on paper but adds to a year of creeping ownership cost. Treat 1 October as the cut-off for old quotes, then focus on 6 October for the Slavia facelift — that is the bigger pricing event for sedan shoppers.
